first attempt cake pops
I finally got around to making cake pops (about 2 years after they became an internet fad, but hey, better late than never).
they were really fun to make. I mashed up homemade yellow cake with vanilla swiss meringue buttercream, then dipped them in white chocolate that was tinted pink. Some were dipped in sugar crystals for some extra bling. Very fun to eat too!
Cake Girls Bakery Fire
I’m not sure how I missed this! The amazing Cake Girls in Chicago suffered a terrible blow when their bakery burned to the ground in late April.
