I am so used to working almost exclusively with fondant, so these royal icing decorated sugar butter cookies were a really fun departure. Available in custom color combinations for your party.
Also we can personalize them with messages for that special teacher, co-worker or friend in your life.
The flavor is out of this world. It’s a tender, buttery cookie with a kiss of Madagascar vanilla extract. YUM!

Delicious vanilla cake with vanilla swiss meringue buttercream, decorated with edible bunnies, butterflies, flowers and mushrooms. Topped with a gumpaste rainbow. A big hit with the kids!

A fun first birthday cake with a jungle theme. The cake topper is made of chocolate fondant mixed with gum paste to help it hold up in the humidity. Luckily Saturday wasn’t a particularly hot and humid day, but lately you never know!
The animal and plant silhouettes on the bottom tier were inspired by Alexander Henry’s zoo fabric. A classic!

3 different flavors: chocolate cake with vanilla frosting, yellow cake with chocolate frosting and red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting. each cake is a 3.75″ cube.

The birthday boy LOVES play-doh, hence this giant homage to the fun paste. The cake was 8 inches tall, consisted of 6 layers of cake and 5 layers of vanilla swiss meringue buttercream. the chocolate layers came from elisa strauss’ confetti cakes book. The play-doh lid was made out of gumpaste, the animals are fondant.

The chocolate cake and the white chocolate buttercream recipes were both from Martha Stewart and are new favorites of mine. The cake is from the baking book (one bowl chocolate cake) and the white chocolate SMBC is from her newish Wedding Cakes books. Both were a dream to work with. And who can complain about a one bowl cake recipe!?
Did I mention raspberry puree between each layer? YUM.
